Several months ago, my family was out at a sale looking for household materials. At that time, i had moved into my new house recently and was looking out for a set of quilt and bed-sheets. I had found patterns which were of few colours and i thought that would be good. However, my parents chose those which were more bright and colourful. I found it distasteful.
My parents explained to me that as a youth, i should use more colours. Hence, i followed although i still thought that it was distasteful.
Again, a few weeks ago, i was at a shopping mall. While passing by the kitchen appliance section, i noticed jars and other kitchen utensils that were coloured with cute and "out-of-the-box" designs. They caught my eye instantly and i was thinking about a house filled with colours and these unique pieces of furniture.
Upon looking at the price tag, i was shocked. A glass jar with a lid that was brightly coloured cost a hundred bucks.
However, i still made it a point to tell my parents how these pieces of art were still very attractive and i wanted to buy em'. Of course, i didn't need the no answer to say that i wasn't going to take one of these lovely pieces of furniture home.
I think the whole family was enticed by these luxurious cutlery. And the point i'm trying to show here is that we should keep our childhood beautifully colourful. To do so, we have to stay happy. I regret that my childhood is three-quarters up, but i still have a while before it goes away altogether.
God gave us colours and we should appreciate it. Colours spark life and emotions. Look all around, there's probably a ton of things you haven't noticed about your house. The minor details, and colours is such a big one but yet sometimes we overlook it. I love colours now, and i believe everyone does............ If they just open their eyes to see it.
So, to those who find only black and white in the world, whatever your sorrows may be, if you cheer up, you will find that the World is a colourful place.
